Wake CARES is a diverse group of residents throughout Wake County who want to preserve our excellent school system. We are dedicated to minimizing inefficient financial management, unnecessary student reassignments, lack of calendar options and any other policies or practices that decrease the quality of the educational experience in our school system, or are not in the best interest of the students and families of Wake County. We are committed to representing the interests of our citizens and ensuring that our local governments and all of our elected officials work together to manage our growth and our school system infrastructure in a way that is fair and healthy for both the private and commercial members of the community.A quality school system is beneficial to all citizens and businesses of Wake County. Our aim is to help our citizens stay involved and informed of the issues that impact the quality of education and to help advocate for a strong public school system and great leadership in Wake County. The challenges facing many of our families are real and have been ignored. The decisions being made today will affect all of us in some way in the future. As citizens of this county, we deserve to have our voices heard. As a coalition of citizens our collective voices will be even louder. The children of our community are counting on us.
